Alternatively, we can begin by exploring the Warburton Rail Trail, stopping for morning tea at the charming historic Carriage Café in Seville, set inside a restored 1920s train carriage.
From there, enjoy a scenic drive through rolling vineyards and lush farmlands before reaching the picturesque Warburton Valley, one of the Yarra Valley’s most tranquil and enchanting destinations. Nestled in the foothills of the Yarra Ranges, Warburton is framed by towering mountain ash forests and the sparkling Yarra River.
Stroll the riverbank walking trails, admire the historic swing bridge, and take in the fresh alpine air. In summer, kids (and grown-ups too!) can splash in the crystal-clear river, while year-round the town’s relaxed atmosphere makes it the perfect escape from city life.
The highlight of your day is a hearty lunch at one of the region’s oldest pubs / or charming riverside cafe, where rustic charm and rich history meet generous country hospitality. Pair your meal with a local wine or craft beer and soak up the stories of this unique valley town.

- Alternatively, if you prefer to immerse yourself in nature after lunch, we can take a short walk along the riverside at Warburton, criss-crossing the Yarra River taking in views of Mt Little Joe and Mt Victoria / or visit the Redwood Forest – you might be lucky and see the Grey Headed Flying Fox roost in the canopy during summer, together with a variety of local birdlife.
